We are so excited you are planning to visit us at Calvary Baptist Church. It truly is an honor to have you join us as our guest!
We are located at 300 Indian Hill Rd, Union Grove, NC.
We want to give you an idea of what to expect when you arrive to worship with us. Below are answers to some questions you may have about attending a service.
When Should I Arrive?
We have an Early Service at 8:30 AM in the Speece Life Center, followed by Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 AM. Classes are available for newborns and up, with children in a secure check-in/check-out environment led by trained workers.
Our Sunday Morning Worship service is held at 11:00 AM in the main auditorium. During this time, we also offer Children’s Church - a fun, safe environment where kids can learn about Jesus in a way that’s engaging and age-appropriate.
On Sunday evenings, we gather again for worship in the main auditorium at 6:00 PM.
Wednesday evenings, we meet at 7:00 PM in the main auditorium for a time of worship and Bible study.
What Should I Wear?
There is no required dress code for attending services at Calvary Baptist Church. While many of our members choose to wear traditional “Sunday attire,” you will find a range of dress. We simply encourage modesty and want every guest to feel comfortable and welcome.
What About Child Care?
There is a spacious nursery located to the left as you enter the grand atrium. This environment is available for newborns through preschool.
For your child’s safety, we have a secure check-in/check-out system in place to give parents and guardians peace of mind. Nursery care is available during Sunday School and all worship services on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday nights.
What Are Services Like?
Our music is traditional in style, with a strong emphasis on hymns and Christ-honoring songs. At times, you may hear a mix of familiar gospel songs as well. Our desire is for our worship to be heartfelt, uplifting, and centered on the Lord. We seek to worship Jesus in spirit and in truth. We don’t want to just sing about Him, we want to sing directly to Him - He is in this place! You can also count on our Pastor to bring an incredible, life-applying truth from God’s Word, faithfully preaching messages that encourage, challenge, and strengthen your walk with Christ.
